Tree description
The Guariuba tree grows to an average height of 25 to 35 meters, with a generally well-shaped trunk without defects and root formation, without a branch. The trunk has a diameter of 50 to 80 cm.
Wood description
The heartwood is freshly bright yellow and darkens to brown/reddish brown with a golden sheen under certain light. Wavy wire can often create an attractive drawing. The narrow, 20-50mm wide white to light yellow sapwood is clearly distinguishable from the heartwood when fresh. Guariuba is moderately to well workable.
